About EuroFuelPrice

EuroFuelPrice is a free, independent website for drivers, travellers, fleet managers and anyone who wants to know what fuel costs across the European Union. We take the official weekly fuel price figures that EU countries report to the European Commission and turn them into tables, charts and calculators that are quick to use on a phone at a petrol station or while planning a road trip.

What you can do here

  • See this week’s average petrol, diesel and LPG prices in all 27 EU countries, with the change from last week.
  • Estimate the fuel cost of a trip through several countries, split between passengers.
  • Check whether to fill up before or after a border, and whether a detour for cheaper fuel pays off.
  • Compare what a full tank costs in every EU country, and look at price history back to 2005.

The site is available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch.

Where the numbers come from

All prices come from the European Commission’s Weekly Oil Bulletin, reused under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. We convert the figures from euros per 1,000 litres to euros per litre and calculate weekly changes. We don’t edit or estimate any country’s price. See Data & licences for details.

The bulletin shows national averages. Prices at individual stations differ, often by 10 cents a litre or more, so use the figures for planning and comparison rather than as a quote.

How the site is made

The site is built and maintained with the help of software automation, including AI tools. New bulletin data is downloaded and checked automatically every week, and every calculator is covered by automated tests. If something looks wrong, please tell us and we’ll fix it.

Independence and funding

EuroFuelPrice is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the European Commission or any fuel company. The tools are free. In future the site may show advertising to cover its running costs; advertisers have no influence over the data.
